Schizophrenia

Schizophrenia is a psychotic disorder (or a group of disorders) marked by severely impaired emotions, and behaviors. Schizophrenic patients are typically unable to filter sensory stimuli and may have the following symptoms:

  • Hallucinations – seeing or hearings’ things that others do not sense
  • Delusions – false beliefs t hat may become fixed, despite evidence to the contrary
  • Altered emotions; inappropriate emotional responses or no responses at all
  • Difficulty staying focus and completing task
