1. What does NBR stand for?

2. What type of studies does NBR conduct?

NBR conducts clinical research in most areas of the Central Nervous system for adults only; such as: Generalized anxiety disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Insomnia, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia and Alzheimer’s Disease.

3. How is NBR able to provide psychiatric and medical care free of charge?
NBR is sponsored by pharmaceutical companies and is therefore fortunate enough to provide comprehensive medical care to our patients free of charge.
4. Are all study medications used in clinical trials FDA approved and available in the market?

Some medications are already FDA approved and available in the pharmacy, while others are in the process of receiving FDA approval. All studies are FDA approved.

5. Would I be informed about all the procedures of the study?

For every study there is comprehensive informed consent document that will explain all the benefits and risks. You will have the opportunity to review this consent, ask questions from our experienced clinical personnel and reach a level of comfort before you decide to participate.

6. What kind of psychiatric and medical care will I receive in NBR?

At the first visit you will receive psychiatric evaluation, physical examination, ECG and laboratory work-up. If you qualified you will continue to receive care by an experience psychiatrist and a study coordinator.

7. Will I receive compensation for time and travel invested in a study?

For each completed visit you will receive compensation that has been approved for each particular study. NBR also may provide transportation free of charge. For more details please contact us.

8. Will I be tested for illicit drugs and controlled substances use?

Every research study requires testing for illicit drug use, as well as testing for pain medication use.

If you have any concerns please consult with us in confidence. For all studies a positive drug test will result in your inability to participate.

9. What happens when I complete the study?
Once you have completed a study, you may, return to your primary care physician or NBR will help you with recommendations for your follow up care.
